I started shooting in Northern Ireland, working with bodybuilders and fitness athletes — an experience that taught me the fundamentals of anatomy, posing, and how to bring out someone’s strongest features. That foundation now informs everything I do in the studio, whether it’s dramatic chiaroscuro, vibrant editorial, or character-driven headshots.
The camera stays wired to a screen we both watch, so you are looking at the photograph a second after it exists rather than a fortnight later. That changes what a session is: you can say a pose is not working, or that one frame is the one, and we act on it while the lights are still up.
I currently work with Newcastle University Fashion Society and have recent collaborations with Laura Jayne brand. Alongside photography, I’m pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning at Newcastle University — where the technical and creative sides of my brain occasionally intersect.
